On Tuesday this week I was lucky enough to have been invited for a day out with Rather Inventive .  We all met at Westons Cider at Much Marcle.  Our day out started with tea & cake (What else?) in the exclusive tea rooms with the magnificent cider bottle collection, which is proudly one of the largest in the world.

The weather was kind and the views around the cider mill are simply stunning!

We went on a very interesting tour of the cider mill starting at the family home of Henry Weston and through the magnificent award-winning Henry Weston Courtyard Garden.  We learnt how the cider is made from picking the apples in the local orchards to serving your pint in the local pub.  The tour ended with samples, which some of us particuarly enjoyed and we were all given a goody bag too!

After the tour we had lunch in the Scrumpy House restaurant which was delicious and buzzing with visitors. I had the cider baked ham which was out of this world.  The menu was really varied offering something to suit all taste buds.

Thank you to Ben at Rather Inventive and all who joined us, it was a terrific day out and I will certainly be recommending Westons Cider Mill as the perfect place to visit when staying here at Kidwells House.
