Hereford’s May Fair has arrived and currently is in full swing throughout the streets of Hereford.  There are rides for thrill seekers, children’s rides and lots of stalls with plenty of snack bars and the traditional candy bars along the way.  The fair stretches from High town down Broad Street, Kings Street and Bridge Street and in the opposite direction down Commercial Road and St Owens Street.

Hereford Fair has been a tradition for over 900 years and the annual 3 day event was opened on Tuesday with the ancient ceremony in the cathedral grounds offering 12-and-a-half bushels of wheat by the Mayor to the Lord Bishop as payment for allowing the fair to proceed. Take a look at our Facebook page for more pictures.
