On Tuesday evening we were delighted to be invited to look around the new building at St Michael’s Hospice. The new inpatient accommodation is phase one of the redevelopment. It is arranged in five clusters each with four en-suite bedrooms and these all open up onto a communal living room. Every cluster has been designed to maximise light and access to outdoor space which has all been carefully planned to the very highest standard.
We offer huge congratulations to all involved in this project so far and look forward to phase two. Phase two will involve the refurbishment of the original Hospice building which is now over thirty years old. It has already began and will provided outpatient facilities, support group facilities, a cafe area, a sanctuary area, education areas and a variety of quiet rooms for counselling and support.
All this has been possible through the amazing fund raising events throughout Herefordshire. Take a look at their website for more information and how you can donate. Also look out for our BIG TEA here at Kidwells House on July 1st when you can have the opportunity to donate to this fantastic project.
