isoqsltd-logo-2012-smOn Friday I attended a fantastic networking event called Mad Hatters Tea Party organised by ISO Quality Services Ltd.  The event was held at Browns, The Quay in Worcester.  I travelled with Di Rogers from Kidwells Law by train to the event and just a short walk to the venue, Browns restaurant.  The restaurant sits on the banks of the River Severn with fabulous views and an infectious ambiance both inside and at the outside seating area.  The area outside is adjacent to a lovely paddling pool which was full of children enjoying the cool water on what was a very warm day.  There really was a superb atmosphere which continued inside Browns Restaurant which is extravagantly decorated with lovely big chairs to sit and dine in and lots of people enjoying lunch together.

We all assembled in the bar area where we were offered a complimentary soft drink or glass of Prosecco.  There was about 30 delegates from both Herefordshire and Worcestershire.  After some relaxed networking, we were invited upstairs where our Mad Hatters theme began.  There was an assortment of fresh sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and a selection of cakes as well as fresh tea in lovely china teapots.  There were three large tables and we were given our table to sit at beforehand.  There was Queen of Hearts, Mad Hatters and Alice in Wonderland.

Congratulations to the team at ISO for the innovative style of the afternoon.

Whilst we all enjoyed the delicacies on offer, each table took it in turn to discuss three different topics; Business Support, Networking and Recruitment and Retention.  The discussions were fantastic with everybody having the opportunity to speak on the subject as well introducing themselves and their business.

After the tea there was more networking and it was wonderful to see people meeting for the first time to discuss business ideas and the possibility of working together.  When we left we were all giving bags with ISO information and goodies in, a lovely finishing touch.  Di and I walked back to the train station to find our train delayed by about 20 minutes, this gave us chance to wind down and catch our breath!  We had a lovely journey back despite it being a very busy train.

Congratulations to ISO Quality Services Ltd and thank you for putting on an excellent event, we can’t wait for the next one!
