The Three Choirs Festival celebrates in Hereford this year and is upon us now. We would like to say a huge welcome to everybody attending and performing at The Three Choirs Festival 2015 over the next week. We have many guests staying with us and we are certain all the other accommodation providers will be busy too. And of course the city will come alive with so many people in the area.
Our very own Rural Concierge, Liz Hill has set up camp in The Old Market. Go along and chat to Liz for all the information you need to get around Hereford and to ensure you get the best out of your stay in our beautiful city and for online information you can also click on The Visit Herefordshire website.
There is something for everyone going on throughout the week all around Hereford including in the many cafes, libraries, galleries and all the other nooks and crannies of our rural city.
For all your tickets for the actual festival, there is a new onsite Ticket Office and Information Point for the Three Choirs Festival and Three Choirs Plus which opened on Thursday last week and is based at 1 King Street, Hereford HR4 9BW. This will replace the office in the Zimmermann Building of Hereford Cathedral School, Church Street, which was open as previously announced on 15 July before transferring to the new premises. Kings Street is situated close to the Historic Cathedral, the central point for this festival.
The Three Choirs festival is the oldest non-competitive classical music festival in the world and this year is celebrating its 300th anniversary in providing a spiritual presence at the heart of the nation’s cultural life. The Festival is run by dedicated voluntary committees in Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester, supported by a small professional management team based at the Three Choirs Festival Association’s office in Gloucester.
