On Friday afternoon Amanda and Alice were invited to visit the National Trust Weir Garden at Swainshill, just a short drive out of Hereford city centre. We were given a guided tour by head gardener Ned and tea & cakes in the tea hut. It was a spectacular afternoon and we would like to thank Bernice for inviting us and Ned for the excellent tour which included history and information about the gardens. The Weir Garden is a wonderful riverside garden, developed in the 1920’s. You can choose to take a picnic with you and after a leisurely stroll sit by the river in the deck chairs and enjoy. There are stunning views along the River Wye of unspoiled Herefordshire countryside. This a fantastic place to visit and we highly recommend it. Please take a look at their website for more information or if you are staying with us ask at reception.
