What a great Saturday in Hereford! We went up into The Old Market and High Town and couldn’t believe all the activities going on! In Old Market Titan had just arrived! Crowds gathered round with as many adults intrigued by the performance as children. Titan arrived in true style on the back of a scooter and after a quick up and down of the stores, he came to life and thrilled onlookers with a mixture of dancing, talking and commenting on the crowd. We caught him for two out of three performances and it was a fantastic show.
We then went up to High Town where Coca Cola were continuing with their Happiness Campaign by asking children to enter the smile booth to win cans of cola :-). On the other side of High Town, they were giving away cans of iced cola to passers by, very welcome on a hot, sunny August afternoon.
Meanwhile over in Maylord Orchards, a giant sand pit has been set up and the beach like atmosphere was magic with lots of children (and adults) enjoying the sun and sand.
Well done to all involved in bringing sheer joy to Hereford and offering ways of capturing children’s imagination and a chance to relax for parents and children whilst out shopping.
